Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, pursuant to WV Code §18A-2-5
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c
• Meet the definition of “Qualifications” in WV Code 18A-4-8b
• Demonstrated competency, pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-8e (state-approved competency test(s))

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in accordance with district policies.
• Demonstrates understanding of student’s disability and supports individualized plans.
• Assist teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Conduct learning activities and small-group instruction.
• Maintain attendance and comply with state laws and county policies.
• Ensure a safe learning environment and supervise bus duties when required.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and in-services.
