Job summary

Oberlin City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional/Special Ed Paraprofessional V to support students with disabilities in a range of school settings. The role requires supervising students, assisting with IEPs, and maintaining safety across classrooms and common areas.

The position is a 26-27 week temporary long-term assignment at 7.25 hours per day, with a base hourly rate of $17.81. Ohio certification requirements apply, including ESEA endorsement or equivalent license.

Qualifications

• Experience working with persons with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
• Ability to assist and/or supervise students.
• Must hold a valid Ohio Educational Aide Certificate with ESEA endorsement or a Bachelor's degree license/certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement instructional activities in groups or one-to-one settings.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Assist with implementation of student IEPs and related services as required.
• Supervise students in classrooms, lunchrooms, hallways, and during field trips.
• Use appropriate behavior management and reinforcement techniques.
