Job summary

La Posada Green Valley is seeking a passionate Spanish Instructor to join our campus community as an Independent Contractor and share the beauty of the Spanish language with our residents.

This role teaches beginner-level oral and written Spanish, tailors lessons to adult learners, and may expand to multi-level classes as participation grows. Days and times are determined by resident interest and instructor availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish language, literature, education, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Near-native or advanced fluency in Spanish.
• Teaching certificate, license, or demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum for varying levels of experience.
• Provide conversational Spanish instruction with emphasis on pronunciation, vocabulary, and useful phrases.
• Incorporate reading and writing instruction, including composition, into lessons as appropriate.
• Use effective teaching methods and materials to create an engaging learning environment.
• Maintain clear communication with students via email and class groups.
• Introduce residents to Spanish-speaking cultures and traditions.
