La Posada Green Valley is seeking a passionate, dependable Spanish Instructor to join our campus community as an Independent Contractor and share the beauty of the Spanish language with our residents. The instructor will teach beginner-level oral and written Spanish, tailor lessons to residents' needs, and may lead multi-level classes as participation grows.

Days and times will be determined by resident interest and instructor availability, offering a rewarding opportunity to enrich seniors'

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Near-native or advanced fluency in Spanish.
• Teaching certificate or demonstrated teaching experience preferred.
• Bilingual communication in English and Spanish essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum for varying levels.
• Provide conversational Spanish instruction focusing on pronunciation and vocabulary.
• Incorporate reading and writing instruction, including Spanish composition.
• Utilize effective teaching methods and language games to engage residents.
• Maintain clear communication with students via email and class groups.
• Introduce residents to Spanish-speaking cultures, traditions, and customs.
• Create opportunities for residents to practice and showcase skills through activities.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful classroom environment for seniors.
