Job summary
Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Space Flight Software Engineer to determine spacecraft behavior in orbit and build reliable software for flight operations. You will own all aspects of software development from design through testing and flight support, writing bare metal, RTOS, or Linux based code in C++, with experience on safety-critical aerospace systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the development of spacecraft or safety-critical software.
- Strong C++ skills and experience with embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule.
- Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux based code for embedded processors in C++.
- Own software design, testing, integration, and V&V.
- Collaborate across teams to meet mission requirements.
