Job summary

Blue Origin's Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop sensors for spaceflight navigation, including IMUs, gyros, star trackers, RF, and related hardware.

You will lead hardware design to meet PNT requirements, drive testing and qualification for space-worthy sensors, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, low-cost spaceflight tech. Aerospace experience and strong schematics skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years in electronic design, preferably aerospace/defense.
  • Proficiency with schematic design using Altium/OrCAD.
  • Experience in complex circuit design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
  • PCB design knowledge and layout experience.
  • Familiarity with low-noise analog/digital test equipment.
  • Some software experience in C, C++, Python.
  • Self-starter in fast-paced NPD environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, test, and deploy spaceflight navigation sensors (IMUs, gyros, star trackers).
  • Lead hardware to meet PN T and redundancy requirements.
  • Drive regulatory and certification activities and failure analysis.
  • Lead acceptance and qualification testing for space-worthy sensors and EEE components.
