Job summary

VAST is looking for a Senior Thermal Engineer for their Long Beach, California office. You will define the thermal architecture and perform thermal analysis for a new spacecraft bus aimed at scaling to hundreds of units per year.

This full-time role requires expertise in spacecraft thermal control and design, with responsibilities including managing high-power thermal challenges and developing thermal models. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace thermal engineering.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of spacecraft or aerospace thermal engineering experience.
• Experience with high-power / high-dissipation thermal challenges.
• Familiar with thermal coatings, radiators, heat pipes.

• Define the thermal control architecture and trade approaches.
• Perform thermal analysis across all payload configurations.
• Contribute thermal models for spacecraft design.
