Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a Staff Spacecraft Responsible Engineer within the Interplanetary Sciences Program to own the spacecraft bus definition, integration, and delivery across mission payloads.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external bus providers, ensuring requirements, interfaces, and budgets are defined, tracked, and met throughout the mission lifecycle with a high degree of ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7+ years in spacecraft or satellite systems engineering, integration, or mission design.
• Ability to manage complex systems across multiple vendors and customers.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems and their interdependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end definition, integration, and delivery of the spacecraft bus and interfaces.
• Serve as technical and programmatic focal point for requirements and budgets.
• Collaborate across internal teams and external providers through mission lifecycle.
• Lead systems engineering, vendor management, and hands‑on mission execution.
