Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group seeks a Spacecraft Integrated Systems Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership across full lifecycle spacecraft programs. You will act as the technical authority, shaping capabilities and guiding complex development, production, and sustainment efforts while engaging customers and leadership.

Ideal candidates bring a decade of space systems experience, strong systems engineering background, and ability to mentor teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in aerospace/defense/space programs.
• Extensive experience developing, integrating, testing, and deploying complex spacecraft, satellite, or spaceflight systems.
• Demonstrated success as a technical authority or engineering leader on large-scale aerospace/space programs.
• Deep understanding of systems engineering, spacecraft architecture, requirements management, integration, verification, and mission assurance.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through complex challenges and program execution.
• Proven ability to develop technical strategies and influence organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for spacecraft integrated systems across all phases of the product lifecycle.
• Own and approve critical technical decisions, engineering deliverables, and development documentation.
• Lead large, multidisciplinary engineering initiatives across systems engineering, mechanics, electronics, software, and propulsion.
• Collaborate to develop spacecraft technology roadmaps and technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with Moog processes, customer requirements, and space industry standards.
• Mentor engineers and build organizational technical capability across disciplines.
