Job summary

Mantis Space is seeking a highly experienced engineer to advance spacecraft power subsystems from prototyping through production. You will assemble, inspect, and verify critical power components and serve as the primary technical contact for subsystem issues.

You will identify failure modes, troubleshoot, and drive improvements across production workflows. The role requires deep power systems expertise, system-level thinking, and hands-on capability to ensure reliable integration and mission

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in development, integration, testing, or production of complex power systems.
  • Deep technical expertise in electrical engineering and power systems.
  • System-level understanding across full architectures.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) in high-reliability hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect, and verify spacecraft power subsystem components.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for power subsystem issues during prototyping and manufacturing.
  • Identify failure modes, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements in power subsystem production workflows.
  • Perform inspection, verification, and hands-on assembly of flight and development hardware.
  • Contribute to power subsystem design refinement, production ramp-up, and mission-critical troubleshooting.
  • Apply system-level understanding to ensure reliable integration and mission readiness.
