Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead our spacecraft mechanical development across concept, design, analysis, and flight qualification. You will direct a small team of engineers and collaborate with GNC, EPS, CDH, Payload, RF, Systems, and AI&T to deliver robust mechanical designs for spaceflight.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong CAD/ME skills, and a track record of successful development cycles.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers for mechanical spacecraft development through all design phases.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams across structures, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and AI&T.
• Present design reviews to customers and executive teams; support proposal writing.
