Blue Origin is seeking an External Loads Analyst to help design and analyze the Transfer Stage spacecraft as part of the Lunar Permanence team. You will perform loads development, model reduction, and dynamic analyses to support safe, reliable lunar missions.

The role emphasizes hands-on verification, data interpretation from ground and flight tests, and collaboration with subsystems to ensure robust loads environments for launch, docking, and landing operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
• 6+ years experience in prediction/validation of low/high frequency structural dynamics and loads, plus FE modeling.
• Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
• Passion for spacecraft loads development/validation.
• Ability to solve static/dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
• Experience with Craig-Bampton model reduction and coupled loads analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, validate, and correlate Finite Element models to tests.
• Handle rigid and flexible body dynamics.
• Model, simulate, and verify spacecraft launch, docking, and landing events.
• Measure and interpret acceleration, shock, and vibration data from tests.
• Perform general loads development for spacecraft and related ground systems.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
