Job summary

Varda Space Industries is seeking a software engineer for flight software responsible for spacecraft behavior in orbit, developing reliable software for embedded processors in C++ across bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments.

You will own design, testing, and integration, performing requirements capture and design trades while ensuring verification and validation of software for safety-critical aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent in safety-critical software.
• 5+ years of experience in development of spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
• Experience with development in C++, strong understanding of language concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule.
• Write quality structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux based software for embedded processors in C++.
• Own all aspects of software development from design to testing and integration.
• Scope projects including requirements capture and initial design trades.
• Ensure system quality and performance through software test, verification, and validation.
