Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Space Systems team seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer I to join the Long Beach, CA based program. You will contribute across requirements, design, prototyping, testing, and production of spacecraft electrical hardware, with hands-on on-orbit testing opportunities.

You’ll collaborate with multiple disciplines, perform detailed circuit analyses, and support production as needed. A strong background in analog electronics and PCB layout is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or related).
• 5+ years in electrical hardware design with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficient in circuit analyses using SPICE and Excel.
• US citizenship required, due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Circuit analysis, including power, tolerance, and reliability related.
• PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Production manufacturing support as needed.
