Job summary

Nguyening Strategies Group in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to own spacecraft avionics design from concept to deployment. You will design and validate flight computers, comms, and power systems, and build in-house testing infrastructure to support rigorous qualification testing.

You will lead the development of high-reliability electronics for a space-based reflectors project, with on-site, full-time engagement and equity participation in a venture-backed startup.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and validating PCBAs for spacecraft or high-performance environments.
• Experience owning high-reliability electronic subsystems from concept through deployment.
• Hands-on experience designing, testing, and debugging electronics systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex hardware systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Strongly preferred: spacecraft systems or satellite avionics background.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level design and interfaces for spacecraft avionics subsystems.
• Design, prototype, and validate flight computers, communications, and electronics for spacecraft power and ADCS.
• Develop in-house avionics testing infrastructure including flatsat, power, GPS, and communications simulators.
• Design and execute qualification testing for hardware across vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal-vacuum environments.
• Troubleshoot complex electronics systems and iterate to optimize designs for constrained spacecraft environments.
• Establish best practices and tooling for electrical engineering design within the team.
