Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer (Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer – Enterprise Systems Engineering) to be embedded with the DSS demonstration program at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs.
This full-time on-site role supports the DSS program and space vehicle design activities for government customers. Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 8+ years in relevant engineering domains, and a current Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years in mechanical design, design for manufacturing, optical‑mechanical systems, environmental testing, propulsion, or controls.
- Willingness to travel domestically ~10% and maintain secrecy clearance.
Responsibilities
- Supporting MDA Space Capabilities office (DCS), and the DSS program.
- Collaborating with government teams and contractors to ensure mission success.
- Evaluating contractor performance on space vehicle design and development.
- Supporting other DSS space segment and DCS activities as needed.
