Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Program Planning & Schedule Engineer/Senior Program Planning & Schedule Engineer to join its Engineering Economic and Management Sciences (EEMS) team. You will lead schedule analyses for national security and civil/commercial space programs, developing IMS, and guiding decision-makers.

The role requires advanced engineering or STEM background, 12 years of scheduling experience, and the ability to mentor staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative STEM field.
  • 12 years of relevant scheduling and program controls experience.
  • Familiarity with aerospace engineering processes and lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional scheduling teams.
  • Experience with large-scale, multi-disciplinary program schedules.
  • Proficiency with ACEIT JACS, Primavera, MS Project, Full Monte, Steelray, Milestones.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and related metrics (CPI, SPI, BAC).
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Advise national security and civil/commercial customers on schedule planning and execution strategies.
  • Participate in space system design, acquisition, and evaluation teams; support schedule analysis activities.
  • Develop and evaluate Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and independent schedule estimates.
  • Conduct schedule risk analyses using probabilistic modeling to quantify impacts.
  • Analyze contractor schedules and program documentation to assess performance and risks.
  • Develop and maintain schedule analysis tools and methodologies across programs.
  • Mentor junior staff and communicate findings through reports and briefings.
