Job summary

Astrion seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer to provide SETA support at Los Angeles Air Force Base. In this hybrid role, you will lead senior-level systems engineering across the full acquisition lifecycle, guiding MBSE-driven architecture and cross-domain integration for space and ground segments.

You will evaluate technical baselines, manage requirements, support program reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant aerospace, space systems, defense acquisition, or systems engineering experience.
Experience with DoD/Space Force acquisition programs and space systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level aerospace systems engineering and technical advisory support across the full acquisition lifecycle.
Support requirements development, decomposition, validation, verification, traceability, and configuration control.
Conduct system-of-systems engineering and integration across space, ground, launch, and mission-support segments.
Develop architecture using MBSE and Digital Engineering.
Review contractor products and deliverables for SE content and risk.
