Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville seeks a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead development of system requirements and architecture for a new TS system. You will drive MBSE practices, verification strategies, and trade studies across software, avionics, mechanical, RF and electrical domains.

You will shepherd design through implementation, test and validation, coordinate with stakeholders, manage risk and cost, and translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications while

Qualifications

• Experience creating, developing, or defining a new system within a program.
• Proficient in MBSE using SysML and DoDAF.
• Experience in systems engineering, requirements, verifications, and validations.
• Experience performing trade studies.
• Knowledge of risk and opportunity processes.
• Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Active or current Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of system architecture and design and communicate to stakeholders.
• Shepherd the design through implementation, test and validation.
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
