Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a THAAD Senior Staff Systems Engineer to translate mission objectives into clear system design and to lead the failure analysis and troubleshooting with follow‑on solutions.

In this role you will serve as the Launcher Subject Matter Expert, advise engineering and program leadership on launcher design and operations, lead launch campaigns and readiness reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate across government, customer, and contractor teams to

Qualifications

Experience in systems engineering analysis and integration.
Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Experience with THAAD or Patriot Launchers.
Experience with network configuration and administration.
Active or current Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.

Responsibilities

Lead failure analysis and solution path for launcher issues with Chief Engineer.
Advise on launcher system design and operations.
Lead or support launch campaigns, readiness reviews, and mission assurance.
Evaluate risks, anomalies, and corrective actions for appointed subject matter.
Review requirements, interfaces, and integration strategies; advise updates.
Serve as SME for launch vehicle performance, trajectory, and constraints.
Support proposal development, customer briefings, and technical strategy.
Mentor systems engineers and launcher operations personnel.
Coordinate across government, customer, and contractor teams.
Lead support for fielded and development launchers; domestic and international.
