Job summary

Outpost in Playa Vista, CA is seeking a Senior Structure Analysis Engineer to own structural and thermal analyses across flight hardware from early design through flight readiness and production.

You will work with mechanical design, avionics, test, manufacturing and systems teams to ensure hardware is flight-worthy, properly dispositioned and analytically sound, with responsibilities across modal, vibration, static and thermal loads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Aerospace engineering required.
• 8+ years in aerospace structures analysis.
• Experience with linear and nonlinear FEA.
• Hands-on with flight hardware analysis and test.
• Knowledge of launch environments and load paths.

Responsibilities

• Own structural and thermal analysis for flight hardware from design to production.
• Perform modal, random vibration, static, and thermo-elastic analyses.
• Assess hardware disposition and support NCR resolution.
• Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing to translate requirements into models.
• Contribute to methodologies, documentation, and best practices.
