Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a skilled Infrastructure/DevOps professional to own core infrastructure and tooling for the engineering org. You will shape software and vehicle software deployment, test strategies, and scalable infrastructure for Mega-class satellites.

In this role you’ll drive IaC, cloud and on-prem deployments, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and collaboration with multiple teams to ensure availability, security, and reliability across mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a STEM discipline or 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, SRE or DevOps.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• 3+ years of Infrastructure-as-code deployment processes.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of networking and Linux internals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain both Cloud and On-Premises infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Update, deploy and scale mission-critical services using industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create highly available, deployable, and reliable products.
• Reduce operational toil through automation, tooling, and self-service platforms.
• Partner with other technical teams to design controls and uphold security standards.
• Lead high-impact reliability, security, and resiliency efforts shaping platform strategy.
