Job summary

Astroscale U.S. Inc. in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to design and implement test routines for software and hardware components of satellite mission programs.

You will develop test plans, lead test campaigns across flight and ground systems, and collaborate with internal and external partners to improve testing tools and processes. Strong Python and C/C++ development, Linux Bash, and CI/CD experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in software test development.
• Proficiency in Python; experience in C/C++.
• Experience with software/hardware integration, test frameworks and verification.
• Strong communication skills; degree in CS/CE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for software and hardware systems.
• Lead test campaigns across spacecraft flight and ground systems.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure software quality.
• Create system-level verification, validation, integration, and test plans.
• Drive the improvement of software testing tools and processes.
• Rapidly prototype software for hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Collaborate with internal partner organizations and third-party teams.
• Assess software and system issues across software-hardware interfaces.
