Job summary

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) seeks a Senior Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Analyst in Chantilly, VA to support space programs.

The role focuses on communicating mission goals and coordinating with DoD stakeholders in a fast-paced acquisition environment. You will produce briefings, articles, scripts, and testimony, build relationships with DoD communicators, and help plan events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive DoD/public affairs experience.
• Experience providing strategic communications to senior management.
• Experience in DoW community or space/satellite organizations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic government/contractor team environment.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Previous SAP experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver internal and external products including intelligence briefings and press content.
• Serve as liaison between customer and Office of Public Affairs to coordinate communications.
• Monitor legislation impacting space and satellite systems and brief leadership.
• Produce content tailored to program office needs for publications.
• Lead writer for newsletters, articles, scripts, and congressional testimony.
• Develop briefs and talking points for leadership upon request.
• Assist in planning and coordinating events/conferences related to customer missions.
• Brief customer material when needed for user outreach.
• Collaborate with Government Military Leader and PMs to guide satellite programs through acquisition, engineering and operations.
