Job summary

Gravitics, Inc. is building large-scale orbital power systems and seeks engineers to own the end-to-end development of an in-space electrical power system from design through build, integration and deployment.

You will lead the development of a robust, mission-critical power system designed to perform reliably in varying orbital environments, working with structures, thermal, avionics, and GNC teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or ABET-accredited discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in power converter or power system development.
• Design and test experience with 1–10 kW power systems.
• Familiarity with space-grade packaging, integration, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test power subsystems for flight hardware in space.
• Define and maintain power system requirements and architecture trades.
• Analyze performance via modeling, simulation, and tests.
• Perform solar array sizing and power analyses for orbital missions.
• Assess radiation effects and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct fault tolerance, redundancy, and reliability analyses.
• Coordinate with structures, thermal, avionics, and GNC teams.
• Support environmental qualification and acceptance testing.
• Oversee interface with vendors for components and qualification.
