SmithGroup in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Space Planner to join our team. You will lead space research, data-driven planning, and client presentations while collaborating with data analysts on space models.

The ideal candidate will have a professional degree in a related field, 10+ years of experience in higher education planning, and proficiency with Tableau, Power BI and Archibus. Regional/national travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Data Science or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience preferred in higher education planning and space management.
• Experience with data analytics and familiarity with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, analysis and synthesis of data to generate planning insights and recommendations.
• Manage project scopes, fees, contracts and deliverables for large planning projects.
• Collaborate with data analysts to create space models and client analyses.
• Present findings to clients and internal teams and lead presentations.
• Develop project reports and ensure cohesive, integrated deliverables.
• Foster strong client relationships and balance expectations with contractual goals.
• Lead or assist in new tool development and data visualizations.
• Contribute to thought leadership through writing and conference presentations.
