Descripción de la vacante

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Network Engineer for Network Architecture & SDN to shape the core of TeraWave, a satellite-ground network connecting millions globally. You will design self-healing, low-latency inter-satellite links and implement robust SDN controls across a vast space-ground topology.

You will work with principal engineers to advance routing, TE, and observability in a challenging, frontier tech environment that blends orbital mechanics with high-performance networking.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required with 4+ years in network engineering, distributed systems, or telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and SRv6/SR-MPLS in network environments.
• Experience with SDN controllers and programmable data planes (P4, OpenFlow, or equivalents).
• Solid understanding of packet processing, ASIC/FPGA forwarding, and high-speed switching.
• Experience with wireless, cloud, or service provider networks.

Responsabilidades

• Implement designs for hybrid space-ground transport networks.
• Develop routing, topology management, and fast-reroute for time-varying LEO constellations.
• Create capacity models translating RF link characteristics to network behavior.
• Implement SDN frameworks for centralized and distributed control planes.
