Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a technical authority on hardware reliability to own reliability strategies across spacecraft programs. You will define requirements, build semi-empirical models, and drive testing to meet mission goals, while mentoring engineers and shaping long-term reliability direction.

You will lead root cause investigations, collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing, and advance degradation-based methods to scale high-volume production.

Qualifications

• Experience in life testing methods such as ALT and reliability growth programs.
• Experience reconciling multiple ground test sources and flight telemetry onto a single reliability model.
• Proven ability to lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Strong cross-functional communication and startup environment exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own top-level reliability requirements, models, and allocations across spacecraft programs.
• Define HALT/HASS strategies and accelerated testing plans for reliability growth.
• Develop degradation-based and Bayesian reliability methods to extend the framework.
• Collaborate with design, systems, test, and manufacturing to embed reliability early.
