Job summary

K2 Space is hiring a Senior Build Reliability Engineer to ensure every satellite part and completed vehicle meets mission requirements. You will own quality from raw material dock to launch site, investigate failures, root cause, and implement repeatable processes to scale production with reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in high-volume, rapid production environments.
• Experience developing and executing quality plans across the full build lifecycle.
• Hands-on in production environments with technicians and manufacturing engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute quality plans across build programs from receiving through integration, test, and vehicle handoff at launch site.
• Lead failure investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions; drive containment to improve reliability.
• Feed lessons learned from non-conformances and test failures back into design cycles for robustness.
• Develop and improve quality processes including non-conformance workflows and PFMEAs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design to embed quality into the product lifecycle.
• Support change control by evaluating quality impact of design/process changes.
• Define, track, and report quality metrics and build health trends with dashboards.
• Represent Build Reliability during design reviews and milestone gates.
