Job summary

Iridium Satellite LLC is seeking a Senior Integration and Test Engineer in Reston, VA, to lead integration and testing for mission-critical ground segment infrastructure. You will drive CI/CD pipelines, oversee verification, and mentor junior engineers in DevOps practices within space ground systems.

Active Top Secret clearance is required. The role integrates cross-functional teams across command and control, telemetry, planning, and networking to ensure mission success and national security

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on integration and test experience with complex systems.
• Experience with satellite ground segments, mission-critical software, or large networked architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, Shell scripting; familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker/Podman/ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on all integration and test activities aligned with program goals.
• Lead end-to-end integration of satellite ground segment components across C2, telemetry, and planning.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Oversee system testing from requirements through execution and verify performance targets.
• Develop integration test plans, procedures, and automated regression suites.
• Create and maintain tools, simulators, and containerized test environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across software, network, and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces, test requirements, and testability.
• Maintain documentation including plans, procedures, reports, and traceability.
• Mentor junior engineers on integration best practices and DevOps in space ground systems.
