Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Pasadena seeks a Senior Integration & Test Engineer I to lead integration and testing of flight motion systems, including motor control electronics and actuators. You will develop test plans, verify requirements, and collaborate with design and controls teams to ensure successful space missions.

The role requires hands-on experience in environmental testing, documentation, and strong programming skills (C/C++/Python/MATLAB).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of hands-on test or engineering experience.
• Experience testing flight motion systems and motor controls.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or MATLAB; Windows 10 proficiency.
• U.S. citizenship due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and test campaigns for flight motion systems across assembly levels.
• Test motor control electronics with motors/actuators, characterize performance.
• Collaborate with design, controls, and systems engineers on requirements and V&V plans.
• Develop materials for SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR reviews and customer deliverables.
• Develop test plans for environmental qualification and acceptance testing.
