Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Space Enterprise Coordinator to synchronize communication, workflows, system integration, and training across operations centers, MGSs, and partner agencies for a 24/7 Space Warfighting program. Job description

Responsibilities

As the Senior Space Enterprise Coordinator for a national security program conducting 24/7 Space Warfighting operations, you will synchronize communication, procedural workflows, system integration and training efforts across operations centers, mission ground stations (MGSs), commercial resources and other partnered agencies. As a space defense mission and system subject‑matter expert (SME), you will facilitate the rapid adoption of developing system tools and align network capabilities to maximize a total‑enterprise force response to meet rising challenges within the space domain. A successful candidate will frequently travel and liaise with DoD, IC and supporting commercial community staff and leadership to assess mission protection readiness, best practices, and identify potential risks to assure informed program management and customer decision‑makers. The ability to manage training and coordinate participation in cross‑organizational exercises from both tactical and operational perspectives with advanced knowledge of specialized Indications and Warning (I&W) tools is fundamental to this position. Additionally, you will maintain knowledge of current task orders, space events, systems & mission needs and programmatic goal timelines - serving as a SME focal point for the program, customer and related system development contracts while ensuring strategic plans are implemented as intended.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Strategic Plans Division and Mission Protection to ensure approved task orders are implemented as intended across customer enterprise
• Maintain enterprise wide-situational awareness and operational picture continuity
• Measure effectiveness & performance criteria development; assess risk and predict performance and coordinate with IC and DoD stakeholders
• Coordinate training and exercise events for national operations centers and MGSs
• Synchronize planning efforts; ensure Course of Action (COA) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedure (TTPs) meet mission protection needs through training, exercises and test checkout
• Assess Collection Management prioritization and mission impact drive improved efficiencies
• Liaise with operations centers and enterprise-wide leadership; lead briefings, facilitate tours
• Document Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) tracking significant enterprise statuses and progressions
• Facilitate testing & integration efforts as new technologies link with all space protection missions
• Support strategic planning and anticipate future threats and operational requirements
• Frequently travel to partnered operations centers (CONUS, multiple sites within program) and ground segments
• Work full-time on-site at a government facility in Springfield, VA

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 16 years w/o a degree or 14 years with AS/AA or 12 years oelevant experience with bachelor's degree (BS); 10 years of relevant experience with MS degree or, 8 years of relevant experience with a PHD in related field
• Experience working in high-tempo space operational environment with contractors and government officials (both military and civilian) of all ranks and leadership levels
• Understanding and prior applied knowledge of orbital mechanics and space surveillance systems
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Poly

PREFERRED

• Experience working in high-tempo space operational environment with contractors and government officials (both military and civilian) of all ranks and leadership levels 6+ years' experience with STK or other astrodynamics systems (i.e. ASW, ATLAS, SPADOC and/or available I&W tools)
• Experience working within Intelligence Community supporting space domain missions
• Experience supervising personnel and/or leading relevant ops teams
• Experience in Planning, (i.e. Joint Operational Planning & Execution System (JOPES), CCMD/Joint Staff planning process, Joint Special Technical Operations or managing team execution of Joint DoD and IC plans and task orders

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
