Job summary

Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Level Space Electronics Packaging and Mechanical Product Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Electronics Packaging and Product Design Team.

This on-site role focuses on cradle-to-grave design, electronics packaging, thermal/structural/vibration analysis, PCB design, and collaboration with spacecraft engineers.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance (as per requirement).
• 9+ years experience with CAD tools.
• Experience with thermal, structural, dynamics and/or vibration analysis or PCB design/assembly.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of multi-discipline groups to develop and understand requirements and designs.
• Guide structural design and configuration development through trade studies.
• Perform detailed structural and thermal analysis using hand calculations and tools.
• Document analyses to show compliance with requirements at module, slice, and unit levels.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering for PCB sizing and layout.
• Validate designs through reviews, tests, and analyses.
• Develop and deploy processes to improve engineering efficiency.
