Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in EE/ME/Materials/Chemical Eng or related field.
• 3+ years building aerospace/defense battery systems.
• Experience designing packs, interconnects and BMS architectures.
• Knowledge of Li-ion chemistries (NMC/NCA/LFP) and safety.
• Experience with testing, validation, and abuse testing.
• Modeling with electrochemical or equivalent-circuit methods.

Responsibilities

• Own battery architecture from concept to flight qualification.
• Design packs, modules, and interconnects to meet mission needs.
• Develop BMS with cell balancing, SOC/SOH estimation, fault protection.
• Select chemistries based on energy, power, and environment.
• Perform sizing, degradation modeling, and DoD management.
• Coordinate charging, MPPT, and peak-load strategies.
• Lead integration, testing, and environmental qualification.
• Support manufacturing, suppliers and production readiness.
• Assist with on-orbit battery performance monitoring.
