Job summary

EVgo is seeking an experienced SOX compliance professional to independently drive execution of SOX 404 across assigned processes. You will work with internal and external auditors to test, document, and remediate control deficiencies, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining comprehensive SOX documentation.

The role requires deep knowledge of SOX, strong project management, and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with limited supervision. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years related experience; alternative paths: 6 years with Master’s, 3 years with PhD.
• In-depth knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and implementing internal controls and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual business process control assessment cycle including risk assessment, materiality, scoping and testing.
• Coordinate with Internal and External Audit for testing, evidence requests and fieldwork.
• Evaluate impact of deficiencies and recommend severity conclusions.
• Own design and maintenance of SOX documentation (policies, procedures, narratives, flowcharts, control matrices).
• Develop remediation plans with timelines and testing; assess changes to controls and risks.
• Manage quarterly control certifications; ensure timely completion and evidence.
• Mentor junior analysts on testing methodology and AuditBoard usage; review work products.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
