Job summary

eBay, a global ecommerce leader, is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to drive the SOX compliance program and participate in selected operational audits. You will manage planning, testing, and reporting of SOX controls, partner with process owners and external auditors, and help strengthen internal controls while supporting risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting, SOX compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ICFR and SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience participating in operational audits, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned activities for the annual SOX compliance program, including walkthroughs, risk assessments, and testing controls for design and operating effectiveness.
• Coordinate SOX testing schedules and documentation for assigned processes with control owners to keep work on track.
• Identify, document, and communicate control deficiencies; assess root causes; track remediation; and validate management’s corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external auditors for assigned processes by scheduling walkthroughs, supporting testing, providing documentation, and communicating status.
