Job Summary: Working as the Senior Sous Chef at Compass Group USA, you will be at the forefront of a high-paced, large volume environment, supporting Kamehameha School. This outstanding role offers you the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and make a significant impact on our operations in Honolulu, HI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in leading cost controls and handling expenditures for the account.
  • Plan and build outstanding menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Efficiently implement and produce catering events, ensuring detailed execution.
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company's marketing and culinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.O.S. or equivalent experience in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with confirmed experience.
  • Dynamic culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training.
  • Catering experience is a plus.
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet.
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
