Job summary

Imperative Care is seeking a qualified supplier quality engineer to collaborate with materials management, assess supplier capabilities, and drive cost-aware improvements in sourced components. You will act as the liaison between suppliers and production, leading changes and addressing technical issues.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years in quality systems, FDA/ISO compliance, and strong communication skills is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, GMP, GDP requirements.
• Knowledge of JIT manufacturing, Lean, and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to create detailed project plans and manage complex supplier changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analysis and develop validation plans and supplier protocol approvals.
• Support reviews/approvals of supplier quality documentation.
• Evaluate supplier technical competencies to inform sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to define validation objectives and standards.
• Ensure audits and corrective actions with suppliers to prevent nonconformances.
• Drive continuous improvement across Quality Systems and Total Cost of Ownership.
