Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist for the OEM Fastener unit in Maple Grove, MN. You will develop real production fastener solutions, provide pricing insights, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver value.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), five years of direct OEM supply chain experience, and strong Excel and blueprint-reading skills. A minimum travel requirement and a driver’s license may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or two years relevant experience required.
• Minimum five years' Direct OEM Fastener or Component supply chain experience.
• Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high mathematical accuracy; proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide sourcing expertise and drive competitive pricing.
• Strategically source products, supplier options, and strategic sourcing projects.
• Collaborate with Operations to optimize procure-to-pay and supplier relationships.
• Maintain data and provide pricing updates; manage quotations.
• Support pricing decisions and communicate with stakeholders; influence cross-functional teams.
