Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing Packaging to lead regional packaging supplier negotiations and master term execution. You will coordinate with BU stakeholders, finance, and engineering to validate cost models, assess requirements, and drive supplier performance improvements.

The role requires 10+ years of procurement/sourcing experience, preferred CPSM/CPIM/CPM certifications, and the ability to influence global and regional teams. Remote U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree with 10+ years experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years, or 14 years without degree.
• Experience in Procurement/Sourcing in Non-Product/Indirect (preferred) and/or Direct.
• Experience managing corporate categories/commodities through supplier negotiations and contract execution.
• Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or CPIM preferred.
• Proven ability to exercise independent business judgement to drive strategies and results.
• Proven ability to work with Global & Regional teams to achieve results.
• Ability to excel in dynamic environment, leading analysis and resolution of complex problems.
• Strong ability to work across different Industries such as Aerospace, Defense & Space.
• Very strong Communication skills are required in this position.

Responsibilities

• Drive one RTX sourcing strategy for regional packaging supplier negotiation and execution of master terms agreements through RightSource gates.
• Serve as the category BU point of contact for RFPs and sourcing strategies for packaging category.
• Lead internal business assessments to support corporate sourcing events.
• Provide input into sourcing decisions, supplier selection, and award recommendations from a BU perspective.
• Support proposal responses, cost justification, and sourcing documentation for programs.
• Partner with finance and engineering to validate cost models and inputs from suppliers.
• Coordinate supply risk mitigation plans for critical suppliers and materials.
• Track risk indicators like single source dependencies and capacity constraints.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing conditions and support multiple categories.
• Lead other BU specific responsibilities as assigned.
• Travel up to 25%.
