Meissner Filtration Products, Inc. in Camarillo, CA seeks a Senior Sourcing Engineer to lead engineering-led sourcing strategy, mentor sourcing talent, and resolve manufacturing challenges that drive competitive advantage.

You will bridge Engineering and Procurement at a strategic level, guiding supplier qualification, vendor management, and manufacturability analyses. You will collaborate across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Support Products to optimize cost, lead time, and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on sourcing, supplier coordination, or supplier development.
• Experience with machine shops, contract manufacturers, and supplier relationships.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, materials, and finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, CAD models, specs, BOMs.
• Proficiency with CAD software and change-control processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead sourcing strategy and supplier development across engineering-driven products and assemblies.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for diverse manufacturing capabilities.
• Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specs, BOMs to identify risks and cost opportunities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to clarify intent, assess manufacturability, and resolve questions.
• Provide technical assessments and trade-offs to drive supplier decisions with design engineers.
