The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Senior Sonographer to perform advanced ultrasound procedures, contribute to teaching and mentoring, and coordinate with radiology and nursing teams. This role requires ARDMS certification or board eligibility and a strong background in sonography.

Competenze

• CAAHEP accredited or equivalent program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree plus completion of a twelve-month formal education program in Sonography.
• ARDMS certification or board eligibility within 1.5 months of hire.
• BCLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Perform complex procedures at an advanced level with independent judgment and initiative.
• Participate in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Coordinate procedures with nursing units, referring offices, and within Radiology.
• Interviews patients and records medical history relative to ultrasound examinations.
