Senior Sonatype Systems Administrator

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Senior Sonatype Systems Administrator responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing complex IT services and strategic mission systems development in support of USSTRATCOM. This role requires advanced expertise in Sonatype technologies and a deep understanding of software development lifecycle processes to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of mission-critical applications.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions on Nexus switches and routers.
  • Manage network configurations, including VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), QoS, and security policies.
  • Perform capacity planning and upgrades to ensure network scalability and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, analyze network traffic patterns, and implement solutions.
  • Implement and manage advanced features like Fabric Path, VXLAN, and MLAG on Nexus devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot complex network segmentation and security policies using ACLs and QoS features.
  • Function as a technical expert in configuring and managing Cisco NX-OS, including scripting and automation.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures on Nexus devices, including port security, DAI, and 802.1X authentication.
  • Work with security teams to enforce network security policies and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in network architecture design and planning for new deployments and upgrades.
  • Lead the implementation of new Nexus devices and configurations.
  • Document network topology, configuration changes, and procedures.
  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, focusing on Sonatype technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of repository management, SDLC, and DevOps practices.
  • Required 8140 Cert within 6 months: 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; or applicable degree or training.

Additional:

  • Certifications related to DevSecOps, including AWS.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Pay Range

The proposed salary range is: $65,000 - $136,500. Compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and more. Learn more here.
