About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent are pivotal not only in early-stage sales evaluations but also in ensuring ongoing value realization for customers. They partner with Account Executives to serve as key technical advisors, surfacing customer needs and designing technical solutions to meet them. They facilitate discussions on innovative patterns, overcome technical challenges, and foster customer success and adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do

• Advance data streaming use cases from conception to deployment
• Lead technical proofs of concept
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions for new use cases
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to provide thought leadership
• Guide customers with hands-on support and best practices to enhance operational maturity
• Analyze customer data to identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams, advocating for customer needs
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
• Experience with event-driven architecture, data integration, processing techniques, databases, and data warehouses
• Exposure to cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and application development
• Skills in automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
• Relevant technical certifications (Cloud, Data Engineering, etc.)
• Self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging technical and executive audiences
