Role Description

We seek a skilled, client-focused Solutions Engineer with deep expertise in Security Operations to support solution design, scoping, and technical engagement. This role requires hands-on experience with SOC operations, security engineering, and a consultative approach to customer requirements. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to craft solutions that enhance security detection, monitoring, and response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospects and clients to understand SOC needs, pain points, and objectives.
• Develop and present tailored security operations solutions, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, log management, and threat detection engineering.
• Create technical proposals, solution designs, SOWs, and RFP responses based on client requirements.
• Lead technical workshops and whiteboarding sessions.
• Map customer environments to cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF) and recommend improvements.
• Work with delivery and engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and operationally sound.
• Assess current security environments and identify optimization opportunities.
• Stay current with security technologies, SOC best practices, and threat detection methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years in a SOC environment, with hands-on detection engineering, incident response, or security monitoring experience.
• 3+ years in client-facing pre-sales, solution architecture, or security consulting roles.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel), SOAR, EDR, XDR, and log management tools.
• Experience designing or optimizing SOC services such as threat detection, alert tuning, threat hunting, and incident response.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical security solutions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls.
• Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and customer engagement skills.
• Strong technical writing skills for documentation, proposals, and SOWs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM migrations, SOC assessments, or detection-as-code practices.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCIH, GMON, GCDA, or similar.
• Experience with security data pipelines, log normalization, and cloud-native monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of MDR/MSSP service models and managed security operations.
