The Solutions Engineering Team at Box includes solutions engineers, value engineering, platform solution engineering, enterprise architects, and demo engineering. As a Solutions Engineer, you are empowered to sell to business and IT leaders in every space and vertical, and take ownership in crafting customer-centric solutions. You will work alongside the account team to define and expand revenue opportunities, and ensure the solution is ready for cross company deployments. You also act as a critical liaison between Sales and Product; sharing customer feedback with the Product Management, Operations and Engineering functions at Box. Our highest performers develop deep knowledge of the Box platform, and are capable of leading presentations related to the Box security story, technical architecture and product configuration.

WHO YOU ARE

• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience required
• 5+ years of Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer experience or relevant technical, customer facing experience
• Experience with SLED and Federal accounts required from a pre-sales motions
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP authorization process and other compliance frameworks impacting SaaS vendors serving the public sector.
• Knowledge of government procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules).
• Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience working with Box applications
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, and how they integrate into enterprise solutions
• Familiarity with strategic partnerships or subcontractor relationships often used in public sector engagements.
• Awareness of specific use cases such as citizen services modernization, secure document sharing across agencies, education collaboration needs etc.
• Quickly grasp complex technical concepts related to Box's solutions, especially our offerings, and clearly articulate their business value to drive informed decision-making.
• Demonstrates creativity in designing tailored solutions that address unique challenges faced by public sector customers, leveraging Box's capabilities to maximize impact.
• Exceptional skills in delivering compelling presentations tailored for both technical audiences and executive decision-makers.
• Expertly build trust and rapport with diverse audiences, including both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders within the public sector.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding KPIs such as deal velocity acceleration through technical enablement or increased adoption rates via solution demonstrations.
