Job summary

EY is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect for the Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) to design and govern architecture for client-serving tax technology solutions. The role sits in the Architecture and Standards pillar, guiding market-differentiating solutions and setting standards across ATTG.

You will lead the architecture of all products within the SSL portfolio, driving Build vs. Buy decisions and ensuring compliance with governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience
• Management experience a plus
• Approved technical certification
• Ability to articulate problems and proposed solutions
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options
• Understand long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies
• Experience with various architectural styles and patterns
• Comfortable communicating architecture to all levels of management and customers
• Responsive and decisive on adjusting architecture per customer requirements
• Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
• Track record of designing and releasing high-quality enterprise software products
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Strong analytical, prioritization and troubleshooting skills
• Strong leadership and experience managing teams
• Work and communicate internally and with customers at all levels
• Experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions
• Architectural experience including UML and CASE tools
• Strong ability to document concepts and designs for C-level consumption
• Working experience in Business Architecture

Responsibilities

• Ensure architecture of solutions aligns with technology and business strategy
• Drive decision making to harmonize and accelerate portfolio efforts
• Own solution architecture for all products within the SSL portfolio
• Ensure design direction is followed or changes are properly managed
• Make Build vs. Buy decisions following NTI process
• Route technology purchases through appropriate channels per Global Procurement rules
• Specify technologies approved by Tax Quality, Risk Management & Independence
• Collaborate with SDL and BTL on Solution Delivery Strategy
• Map business technology strategy to a solution strategy
• Stay informed on latest market trends and EY Fabric offerings
• Prepare potential technical solutions and advise stakeholders on value
• Promote growth, innovation, and long-term profitability
