Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Solution Architect to partner with Product, Engineering, Platform Engineering, Security, CloudOps, and EA teams. You will design secure, scalable architectures across apps, data platforms, integrations, and cloud infrastructure, while guiding development and ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of software engineering, 5+ in architecture or design.
• Experience with cloud-native AWS or Azure, including networking and security.
• Full-stack experience across front-end, back-end, API, cloud-native apps.
• Experience designing secure, scalable enterprise systems.
• Strong communication and diagramming for mixed audiences.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, IAM concepts and governance.
• Data architecture, APIs, event-driven designs, middleware.
• Hands-on with Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services or equivalents.
• IaC tools like Pulumi, Terraform; familiarity with AI-enabled systems.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution and reference architectures for apps and cloud infra.
• Embed security, reliability, and operational excellence into dev workflows.
• Lead evaluation of technologies, frameworks, and patterns.
• Develop POCs, automation scripts, and reference implementations.
• Lead architecture/design sessions with eng teams and stakeholders.
• Advise on software design translating requirements into secure solutions.
• Ensure designs meet security, performance, governance, and compliance.
• Collaborate to define reusable services and reference architectures.
• Drive long-term technical evolution aligned with strategy.
• Publish architectural standards and best practices for teams.
• Mentor teams in new technologies and patterns.
