About the role:

We're looking for an experienced customer-facing Solutions Architect who loves helping people, solving problems, and wants to be a major factor in the success of our largest enterprise customers. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, extensive customer-facing experience, and the ability to oversee multiple engagements. This person will be based on the West Coast.

Here's what you'll be doing:
  1. Be a strategic technical counterpart to the Success team at Monte Carlo.
  2. Define project scope based on the customer's needs and requirements, guide clear outcomes, and communicate technical and value propositions.
  3. Deliver implementations of Monte Carlo, including on complex data lake environments.
  4. Define "best practice" approaches for achieving desired technical capabilities through Monte Carlo.
  5. Deliver training and enablement on advanced technical concepts to technical customers.
  6. Create collateral, documentation, and other technical materials as needed.
  7. Advocate on behalf of customers cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales.
  8. Analyze customer trends and identify opportunities to drive product consumption growth.
We're excited about you because you have:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, preferably within the data technology space. You have a knack for finding creative solutions to unlock the value of our product and learn our customers' data infrastructure to be prescriptive in implementation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud data warehousing, data lakes, ETL concepts, workflows, BI solutions, SQL, and working with APIs; networking experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Business Value Assessment, use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experience in high-performing teams, setting high standards and ambitious goals.
  • Ability to identify and improve internal and customer-facing processes.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment, with a high degree of ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and a relentless customer problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites.
