As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work with both internal business units and external clients. You will focus on Microsoft endpoint management technologies such as InTune, CCM, Group Policy, and AVD. You will work with stakeholders, sales, project teams, client teams, and others as required to successfully scope, size, design, quote, build, and install solutions. You will understand the competitive landscape, review technical requirements, key success requirements, and define necessary steps to complete sales timelines and customer objectives. You will lead or assist in technically complex solution deployments and be an escalation for support desk and management of Marco solutions containing these technologies. The Senior Solutions Architect will act as the technical sales professional responsible for providing solution design expertise on high-value opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify Opportunities:
- Support territory surrounding identification of specialized opportunities.
- Support account planning when specialized opportunities are identified, especially on Named and House accounts or significant territory opportunities.
- Impact market awareness by participating in seminars, showcases, public events, etc.
- Collaborate on architecture disciplines, best practices, standards work, and service budgets.
- Work with Technology Practice Group team to leverage existing and develop new best practices for architectural enablement.
- Develop and Present Solutions:
- Provide technical qualification for opportunities and focus on leveraging Marco Services and MRR solutions.
- Design customized solutions for specific customers and industries.
- Identify and engage appropriate post-sales support resources to position a Marco services sell.
- Build collaborative relationships with Account Team internally, and various technology and business groups within Marco and customer organizations to collaboratively shape solution development.
- Leverage Marco and manufacturer resources on an ongoing basis to provide value add for customers.
- Provide leadership and guidance in technical responses to customer RFP's.
- Provide trial and demonstration support.
- Professionally present to Marco internal, corporate groups and customer management.
- Engage with Sales and Sales Engineering team to transfer technical, business and soft skills to help them build solutions practices.
- Engage with Technology Practice Group (TPG) teams to help build technology practices--focus on key technologies, profitability and work with Marco Managed team to develop practices.
- Earn the Business:
- Adjust design based on negotiation process.
- Sync with Project Management and Post-sales Engineering to provide adequate documentation for successful delivery.
- Document technology-focused PoC’s to help build a repeatable winning process.
- Personal and Organizational Development:
- Research and report on Marco’s competition to help develop "best of breed" solutions.
- Seek out opportunities to mentor less-experienced teammates, to share leading practices and help strengthen capabilities.
- Leverage expertise to help address customer concerns or issues and expedite an opportunity through the sales process.
- Promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges and problems.
- Actively participate and contribute to discussions in Marco’s TPG community.
- Mentor and lead development of CSE’s and Architects.
- Study key customers and industries to gain clear understanding of key technical drivers and market issues.
- Build trusted technical advisor relationships with technical executives at key customers.
- Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
- Research, design, implement, manage, and maintain security systems including encryption standards, authentication protocols, and cloud security.
- Perform individual and recurring risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and security assessments to identify any security issues that could lead to lost or stolen data.
- Evaluate, design, assist with remediation and audit the use public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures, privilege management systems, Enterprise Mobility Management, single sign-on solutions and data loss prevention systems.
- Review and approve supported architecture(s) for the installation of firewalls, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies, and servers for Marco Managed clients.
- Provide billable consultative services for clients when needed for installation and configuration of Marco supplies solutions.
- Participate in Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan testing, remediation, and planning.
- Participate and assist with administration of security awareness programs and educational efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and twelve years of experience in a technology specialization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of systems engineer experience or equivalent preferred.
- Current high-level industry recognized certifications(s) specific to area of practice.
- Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
